What does a student need to begin piano lessons?
-
daily access to a piano or keyboard in their home
-
time & willingness to regularly practice assignments and attend lessons
-
parents, grandparents, or other caregivers to encourage progress
-
starter books (as noted below by age)
Biweekly Evening Lesson Option for Busy Families
I offer biweekly half-hour lessons for grades 2-12 during the school year. 18 private lessons cost a total of $300, which are paid in trimesters. Sometimes the school year format includes 16 lessons and 2 studio events; unfortunately, in light of covid-19, the events have been temporarily put on hold.
Books
Parents are typically sent amazon links so they may purchase their child's method books. If online purchasing is not possible for any student, Mrs. Wenger may do so and parents may then reimburse her.
Teaching Method & Philosophy
My outlook is simple: learning should be fun! I implement visual aids, games, off-the-bench learning activities, and prize incentives to enhance our time together. The more engaged a student, the more knowledge retained!
Student Safety in Light of Covid-19
My goal is to provide a safe environment for every student, and of course protect my own family as well. Please click below on the Studio Policy which also includes the safety measures implemented for the 2020-2021 school year.
