Mrs. Wenger taught 3s-4s and pre-k classes at Sonrise Academy Preschool in Lebanon until 2017. When it closed, she used her in-home music studio to provide a "hybrid" class of sorts.... combining traditional elements with musical fun. Rather than sacrifice the uniqueness of this program for the sake of licensing, Mrs. Wenger chose to keep Preschool PALS an offering of her music studio. So despite it not being a licensed preschool, word spread about PALS and it began to grow. Since 2017, over 40 children from all over Lebanon county have participated in these classes where we "play and learn through song!"

Striving for excellence, and to reassure parents of high standards, we've asked for input from Elco kindergarten teachers. Having clear aims makes our activities effective.  Our goal is to equip each child not just for kindergarten success, but a lifetime of learning!

Classes run on weekday mornings for both ages 3-4 and ages 4-5. Scroll below to see why dozens of families have chosen this program over a traditional preschool!

SMALL CLASS SIZE

Individual attention is assured  with classes of just 8 students. Mrs. Wenger meets with children individually at the start of each day, not just for skill practice but to further build relationships.

MONTHLY THEMES

Teachable moments happen when classroom topics are meaningful. By starting with an idea that is relevant to children, discoveries arise through a blend of student directed and teacher-led activities.

FREE PLAY

Planning, negotiation and many more skills develop during peer playtime. Students discover how to relate with one another through conflict and disagreement, and how to regulate their emotions.

TEACHER INPUT

Elco kindergarten teachers have evaluated our learning goals. This helps assure we're on track with important reading readiness skills, number sense and ample fine motor practice.

CHRISTIAN ENVIRONMENT

Mrs. Wenger and her assistants teach from the perspective of a biblical worldview. Children hear a weekly Bible story and God's amazing love for them is repeatedly affirmed!

LUNCH BUNCH

Children may pack their lunch and stay after class one day per week to build upon growing skills. Participation is optional & incurs an extra fee.

PARKING AND PICK UP

Parents also appreciate the ease of arrival and dismissal, with ample parking in a low-traffic neighborhood. Our doorstep drop-off and pick-up procedures are especially appreciated by parents with younger children along. No need to tote infants and toddlers up flights of stairs. We make this easy for busy families!
